BetterFPS mod for Minecraft 1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10.2 is a mod which boost the speed of game. It is created by Guichaguri and should improve your Minecraft perfomance for average of 10%. It’s seems as not much, but anyway it is an important improvement. While mod tries to improve performance its second goal is to be as much as possibler to compatible with other mods also. To change and view settings, you must go to Options -> BetterFps options.

Features of BetterFPS, how is it possible
Improved Algorithms – changes sinus and cosinus algorithms, there are 7 of them. How this can be improved and how many optimized algorithms are used on your current settings it does really depends on your Hardware.
Memory Preallocation Removes a RAM prellocation of 10MB. This option is usefull only for players with low memory resource. If you have a plenty of RAM this option removed is good for your perfomance.
Fog – simply remove the FOG effect, because it creates a lot of lag, so to be able to enable/disable this option is nice to have
Then there are other improvements such as Fast Hopper, Fast Beacon, Fast Search. Some of them work only on client installation, some on both server and client sides.
Just install and test it, you don’t have nothing to loose just to gain some extra possibilities and possibly performance boost.

There is no much to tell with screenshots, so on one side is one screenshot with lowest FPS and on other with higher FPS. That doesn’t mean you will get 15fps more, you must test it for yourself.
How to install BetterFPS mod
1. Install Minecraft forge (if you don’t have it yet installed)
2. Locate and open the Minecraft application folder.
– Windows OS start Run from start menu and type %appdata% and then click on Run.
– OSX (MAC) open Finmder, hold down Alt and click Go, then click on the Library in the top menu bar. Now open folder Applicaion Support and look for Minecraft.
– Linux (most distributions), Minecraft folder is located on /home/yourusername/.minecraft ( dot (.) folder is hidden directory on Linux, so press Ctrl+H to unhide folder)
3. Copy the mod file which you just have downloaded (.jar file) into the mods folder, inside of minecraft folder. If you don’t have mods folder, create this folder by yourself.
4. Start Minecraft, click on MODS button and check if your new mod is successfully installed and added
