Default Improved Resource pack is texture pack for Minecraft 1.13 created by topfpflanze91. Creator of this texture pack is a big fan of the original textures in Minecraft so his goal is to create better and improved default vanilla resource pack. To get even better look it is recommended to use shaders with this resource pack. This one is also the main reason why creator of this pack start to build Default Improved resource pack. He likes that Minecraft game looks great in every possible way, and he couldn’t find any default texture packs which works great with shaders, so he decide to create one.
This resource pack is actually scaled up vanilla textures from default 16×16 to 64×64 pixels. To all this textures author added some improvements and details but in such way that they doesn’t loose original outlook. But beware, you will probably not noticed any difference in this textures if you look from far away, but if you stand closer to objects and textures you will notice for sure high quality 64×64 textures.

Notes about Default Improved Resource pack
If you noticed weird colored lines and some areas on blocks like bricks, please check your shader options and check option parallax occlusion map size. Set this parameter to 64.

How to install Default Improved Resource pack
1. Locate and open the Minecraft application folder.
– Windows OS start Run from start menu and type %appdata% and then click on Run.
– OSX (MAC) open Finmder, hold down Alt and click Go, then click on the Library in the top menu bar. Now open folder Applicaion Support and look for Minecraft.
– Linux (most distributions), Minecraft folder is located on /home/yourusername/.minecraft ( dot (.) folder is hidden directory on Linux, so press Ctrl+H to unhide folder)
2. Copy the Resource pack file which you just have downloaded (.zip file) into the resourcepacks folder, inside of minecraft folder. If you don’t have this folder, create this folder by yourself.
3. Start Minecraft, start the game and in Game settings click on Resource Pack, and move this pack from the left to the right side of the screen.
